Brayman Construction Corp. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager! The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for managing project takeoffs, project documentation, preparation of proposals, obtaining quotes from suppliers, developing relationships with customers and vendors as well as dealing with job site subcontractors and QA/QC. Both private and public work experience is a plus. A background in deep foundation construction is preferred, but not required.

The Assistant Project Manager must be willing to travel or relocate as necessary for projects. Local candidates preferred. Positions available in multiple locations with candidates local to PA, OH, WV preferred.

Assistant Project Manager Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Interaction with Project Owner/Architect/Engineers
  • Tracking of work performed
  • Schedule updates
  • Cost input
  • Submittal assistance
  • Materials management
  • Subcontract management
  • Change order Identification and assistance
  • Request for Information (RFI) development

Assistant Project Manager Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to read blueprints/plans
    • Flexibility to adapt to new challenges
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Attention to detail and follow through
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Desire for continuous improvement
    • Desire to take on additional responsibility for the good of the Team
    • Proficient with computers and mobile devices for electronic communication and documentation
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office concentrations in Excel

Work Environment:

  • Works both indoors and outdoors.
  • Environment can be dirty and noisy.
  • Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 50 LBS.
  • Stands frequently and walks about the work areas
  • Occasionally stretches up and across when completing daily tasks
  • Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally.
  • Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally.
  • Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items used daily
  • Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes
  • Repetitive hand and arm movements are required when operating machinery.
  • The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent, relevant work experience
