The Company has expertise in a wide variety of projects including large scale complex bridges, deep foundation, marine and dam construction and rehabilitation, complex and heavy steel erection and rehabilitation and demolition services.


We are currently looking for career oriented experienced Drill Mechanic to work with our Field Support Team to support our growing operations in the region. Duties and responsibilities will include the following:

 Essential Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems including modern emissions controlled diesel engines.
  • Repairing and replacing hydraulic hoses, motors, cylinders, winches, and controls including electric over hydraulic controls.
  • Preparing, setting-up, and modifying equipment for new projects and applications.
  • Ordering parts.  Establishing a spare parts inventory.  Managing refurbishment of parts and assemblies.
  • Establishing, executing, and tracking preventative maintenance.
  • Primary point of contact with equipment operators for maintenance and repair issues.
  • Operating Engineer Union membership required
  • Familiarity with small and large diameter drill tooling.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required
  • Complete work orders
  • Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Follow company safety standards and participate in job hazard analysis and morning safety meetings.

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related heavy equipment repair experience preferred, entry level considered.
  • Previous experience with cranes and drilling equipment
  • Strong diagnostic skills including the ability to understand and use hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  • Previous rigging training, Certified Crane Operator, and operator training a plus. Related OEM/ Dealer and Military training are also a plus
  • Clean driving record and a Commercial Driver's License or the ability to qualify to obtain one a plus.
  • Basic computer skills to use laptop computer and smart phone for diagnostic tools, service manual review and completion of work order and time entry.
  • A positive can-do attitude to work in conjunction with the Field Support team in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Must Supply own tools
  • Welding and fabrication
  • Experience with grout mixing plants and pumps
  • Equipment operation experience

Work Environment:

Works both indoors and outdoors.

Environment can be dirty and noisy.

Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary. 

Physical Demands:

Lifting up to 50 LBS.

Stands frequently and walks about the work areas

Occasionally stretches up and across when completing daily tasks

Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally.

Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally.

Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items used daily

Contact with skin irritants or water may occur during certain processes

Repetitive hand and arm movements are required when operating machinery.

The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
